A Visit to Morris Arboretum
One of the things that I love about living in the greater Philly area, is the amazing wealth of places to visit and things to do. This weekend Clemens and I visited Morris Arboretum, one of our favorite places. We get an annual membership each use and go there often.
They have just opened the seasonal Railroad Garden filled with trains (a bit hit with the kids) and miniature houses and buildings made with natural materials. In addition to the regular display, each year they add buildings on a specific theme. This year its Painted Ladies and features adorable Victorian homes copied from actual buildings in San Francisco, Cape May, NJ and Cincinnati.
The rose garden was spectacular, as usual and Clemens and I both had a wonderful time taking photos and breathing in the wonderful scents, colors and bird song.

- I'm a scrapbook addict. I've been involved with digital scrapabooking since July 2009, when my daughter introduced me to her favorite hobby. When I'm not scrapbooking (hmm, when exactly is that?), I'm enjoying life with my family including my two daughters and two grandsons, my husband Clemens and my Cavalier Spaniel, Vinnie. My hobbies include photography, reading, biking, and hiking.

There is an exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, New York City, called the Holiday Train because it's about a miniature train crossing a miniature landscape filled with well known buildings, houses, etc. around New York, including the Statue of Liberty and even the botanical garden itself. The exhibit is held only during the Christmas holidays and it's beautiful. Maybe you'll want to visit it some day.

I wold love to visit it some day. I had never heard about it so I really appreciate you're letting me know.
Is there a place where the houses and accessories are for sale?
I suspect that these buildings are the same as the ones at the Chicago Botanic Garden RR summer and winter displays. Paul Busse from Applied Imagination does them with his team from Kentucky.
Same question: would love to transform my gardens--front and rear--into fairy gardens. I especially like the miniature painted ladies buildings--they are kind of like sets of houses from the same block. But I'm not a crafts person. Have seen miniature hobbit houses, but a garden with painted ladies, I think, would be more appropriate in a dense city.
So, does anyone know where these painted ladies can be purchased?
